Scholarships and Bursaries

If a student requires financial aid, scholarships and bursaries are available through many different sources, including:

  • New Relationship Trust
  • Indspire
  • Scholarships Canada
  • Aboriginal Learning Links

Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP)

Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada can assist with financial assistance for Indigenous learners who are pursuing post-secondary schooling. In BC, the PSSSP is administered through the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres. To determine if a student is eligible, visit bcafc.com.

Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) Program

The Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) Program can provide financial assistance to Indigenous students pursuing post-secondary education. For more information, you can visit the Government of Canada’s ISET website.

Student Aid (ISET) BC

The province of BC offers financial assistance via various forms through Student Aid BC. To see if you are eligible for any of the options available through Student Aid BC, visit studentaidbc.ca.

Canada Student Grants (ISET)and Loans

The Government of Canada also offers financial assistance resources for funding post-secondary education, with varying repayment requirements. For more information, go to www.canada.ca.
