Environmental Resources Technology Diploma

The diploma aspect of this program is earned when students successfully complete all courses within the certificate program as well as the diploma program. Students are required to achieve an overall GPA of 2.0.

Environmental Resources Technology Diploma

Year two of this program focuses on environmental disciplines. Students will apply knowledge learned from the first year of the program to solve environmental problems, as well as forest Surveys and Environmental Assessment Surveys, important for assessing the land base. Courses included in this program, such as grasslands, environmental planning, watershed hydrology, timber development, and wildlife, will provide the students with theoretical knowledge they will need in order to carry out field studies in their chosen career. Upon successful completion of year 2, students will be awarded a diploma, enabling them to work in any of the above industries.

Admission Eligibility Requirements

  • Grade 12 graduation or equivalent, including a C grade minimum in:
  • Foundations of Math 11 or MATH 057
  • English Studies 12 or English 12 First Peoples, or English 060
  • Biology 11 or Life Sciences 11 or Biology 050
