Bachelor of Social Work
The Bachelor of Social Work degree places importance on both the skills and knowledge required for not only Indigenous peoples but mainstream individuals, families, and communities as well. The program explores and emphasizes principles such as community healing and social justice. With both extensive experience in the classroom as well applying learned skills such as critical analysis, students will be taught how to create a social work framework valuing ethics, equality, respect, and dignity of everyone.
The program admits approximately 50 students into this 2-year program, and students are admitted at year 3 of this degree. Students are required to have obtained 60 credits of transferrable courses to be eligible for admission.
Students are generally required to take the core courses as well as certain elective courses as deemed required by the program.

Associate of Arts Degrees
Criminology
This degree is awarded at the successful completion of two years’ worth of full-time study. This degree requires 60 credits, inclusive of 3 elective credits. Students must maintain an overall minimum GPA of 2.33.
Upon completion, students will then be eligible to transfer directly into Simon Fraser University’s criminology program to complete the final two years required to obtain their Bachelor of Arts Degree. This program is also articulated for transfer to the University of the Fraser Valley.
Students in this program will gain an extensive understanding of the complexities of criminal and deviant behaviour, and how society reacts to the actions of criminals and deviants.
